French “Spider-Man” Has Scaled A Skyscraper At The Age Of 60

 

The “Spider-Man” of France climbed a 48-storey skyscraper in Paris without safety gear on his 60th birthday.

It has been reported that Alain Robert has climbed the Tour TotalEnergies in the Défense business district without the use of ropes or harnesses.

According to Reuters news agency, he told the news agency: “I want to send the message that being 60 years old is nothing. You can do sports, be active, and do fabulous things even when you’re 60 years old.”

He Was Arrested After Reaching The Top Of The Tower

There have been numerous times when Mr Robert has climbed the Tour TotalEnergies over the years, but this time it only took him 60 minutes to reach the top of the mountain, according to news site Defense 92.

As he said after climbing the tower, “I had promised myself several years ago that when I reach 60, I would climb that tower again because 60 is a symbolic age for retirement in France, and I thought that would be a nice touch.” He said after climbing the tower.

In addition, he said the goal of the climb was also to raise awareness about global warming, as reported by Reuters.

He has accomplished daring feats including reaching the top of Dubai’s Burj Khalifa building – which is the tallest building in the world – which was his most famous feat.

His stunts are usually performed without prior notice or permission, and he has been arrested a number of times as a result.
